A changing career needs a closer look.
Use three lenses to ask better questions about a degree and its likely work. This is a qualitative framework, not a validated score or a job-loss forecast.
Look at the tasks inside the role.
Routine tasks
Drafting, routine coding, summaries, and repeatable analysis are questions to investigate.
Human judgment
Problem definition, verification, accountability, and domain expertise may change the value of the role.
Physical-world work
Often limited. Ask how the role’s value depends on working with people and systems in context.
Questions to bring to a program.
How does the curriculum teach students to use and check new tools?
What do graduates actually do in their first roles?
Which parts of that work depend on judgment, relationships, or physical execution?
How is the program adapting, and what evidence supports its approach?
This is a set of questions to investigate, not a score. It does not predict job loss or match individual degrees to occupations.
